This amazingly detailed image from NASA's Landsat 8 satellite taken on September 27, 2015 shows the largest city in the Canadian province of Québec and the largest inland port in the world - Montréal takes its name from a distinctive landscape feature at the center of the city. Mont-Royal (“Royal Mountain in French) rises to an elevation of 764 feet (233 m) at Colline de la Croix peak.
The mountain is sometimes identified in guidebooks as an extinct volcano, but the types of igneous rock found at Mont-Royal suggest the mountain is more likely to be the remnants of magma chambers that once fed surface volcanoes than a surface volcano itself. The other circular features on the right side of this image offered by Customaps are the central members of a group of unusual rock formations known as the Monteregian Hills: Mont St. Hilaire, Rougemont, and Mont Yamaska. The rectangular pattern blanketing the fall landscape in the background reveals the intensive agriculture in the fertile lowlands in southern Quebec.

- PEEL & STICK WALL MURALS:
Our wall murals are made of a self-adhesive thin polyester fabric material. They have the look and feel of a very thin canvas and do not require use of wallpaper paste or any extra glue for hanging. Our map murals can easily be removed, leaving no trace or sticky residue on 99% of any surface! They can be moved and re-applied over and over again, as the adhesive does not weaken or strengthen over time. Stick your map for a day – or stick it for a decade – still removes with no issues. Our material is green, nontoxic and safe. We protect them with a transparent laminate, which allows you to clean your map with a damp sponge.
Note: it is recommended to apply your wall mural on LOW or NO VOC paints.
