Print Description

NASA’s Landsat 8 satellite captured this image of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada, on June 30, 2015. The city grew from a settlement that had formed around a logging sawmill in western Canada in 1867, and was formally incorporated in 1886 after it was announced that a railhead would reach the locale. Today, Vancouver is a coastal seaport city with an estimated population of over 640,000.

In this image offered by Customaps, the Fraser River starts as a fast-moving stream, picking up a lot of sediment from the mountains and flowing through braided channels. The river meanders toward the sea, emptying through multiple outlets - the mouth of the Fraser River is an estuary - a place where freshwater from rivers mixes with salt water from the ocean. Near Vancouver, the mixing occurs along an abrupt front spanning just tens of meters. Although the swirling water and thick sediment can confuse salmon, the mixing also expels stagnant water and pollution and draws in oxygen.

Our map posters are printed on a premium 10 mil (235 g/m2) thick cellulose based paper. Environmentally friendly, it is PVC free and recyclable. It features a satin finish with low glare. Saturated with latex for durable indoor and temporary outdoor use.

Strength, tear-resistance, flexibility, and the ability to fold without the image cracking are key benefits of our posters.

- PEEL & STICK WALL MURALS:

Our wall murals are made of a self-adhesive thin polyester fabric material. They have the look and feel of a very thin canvas and do not require use of wallpaper paste or any extra glue for hanging. Our map murals can easily be removed, leaving no trace or sticky residue on 99% of any surface! They can be moved and re-applied over and over again, as the adhesive does not weaken or strengthen over time. Stick your map for a day – or stick it for a decade – still removes with no issues. Our material is green, nontoxic and safe. We protect them with a transparent laminate, which allows you to clean your map with a damp sponge.
